There's no doubt that everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to scents. And, of course, when it comes to pheromones, it can be said that sometimes people have been known to go wild...
But we're wondering if a recently announced scent of 'French fries' would have that 'take me now' effect? Hmm, well, in all honesty, if we are fair in our assessment, we have to look at the amount of people that are in love with French fries (fresh chips in South Africa).
If we're honest, we must admit that more people are for those crispy buggers than against. Can we really blame them though? It's hard to say no to the things that make us go weak at the, uh, not knees but... stomach.
The perfume was created by the Idaho Potato Commission and is called "Frites by Idaho and is a limited-edition fragrance available only on the Idaho Potato Commission's website." (CNN)
According to the commission, a study conducted over a poll revealed that almost 90% of Americans cannot resist the smell of French fries. We think that may be true for many South Africans as well.
For us, it's the smell of popcorn...
Perhaps that could be an idea for the next limited edition perfume?
A bottle of Frites by Idaho is retailing for R28.60 ($1.89) for approximately 50ml. So the question is...
