Community heroes: 'Brothers for Life' feed over 800 children

Thorn April, a determined young man, is truly invested in his community and holds a weekly feeding scheme for the hungry.
Thorn April has a passion for helping his community and uplifting people. He represents that part of society that really feels for others and wants to reach out to help as many people as he can.
We heard about what he's doing on Facebook and thought, now this is what real heroes look like. The ones that use social media to reach people and create initiatives that help feed the hungry.
The AF Brothers For Life Campaign did a feeding just now. We distributed sandwiches and juices to the kids . We very proud ❤️🙌🙏🏽💯

Thorn is currently trying to grow his small food business, but he also seeks out donations and takes every opportunity to try and feed the children in his community. He is from Kuyasa, Khayelitsha, and is the founder of an initiative called, AF Brothers for Life.
He gets together with some of his friends and they serve warm meals to the community. He also speaks up for his community. In one post, he tagged the City of Cape Town to address the blocked drains that were overflowing in his neighbourhood and they came through to fix the problem.
