Bride's mom says no to the dress because of its energy...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Have you ever felt like a garment was just not speaking to you? Perhaps the energy was bad...
We are definitely energy people. When it comes to something in life and it doesn't feel right, then we find ourselves quickly shuffling in another direction. And one thing is for sure, we are not the only ones who feel this way.
When it comes to life, there's no formula as to what's a right fit and what's not. It's about going through the experience and making those decisions on your own. Whatever the end result, you find a lesson and you move forward. Well, at least that's the ideal way for your mental state of mind...
But that's not how it works in reality most of the time. When it comes to fashion, there is this 'fashion-dar' that we tend to follow, deep in our souls, so if the energy doesn't fit, then we feel it.
But the big question is, do you follow that 'fashion-dar' or do you go against it and risk it all? Well, that was the case for this bride, who appeared on 'Say Yes To The Dress', the bridal dress show on TLC.
"In an exclusive clip of the episode shared with Insider, Christie tries on a $3,200 Martina Liana dress that was covered in head-to-toe lace." (Business Insider)
Of course when it comes to wedding dresses coupled with lace, we think, elegance, fairytale, royalty, and class - but this was not the case for this bride, Christie. As we know, when it comes to the bride and choosing her wedding dress, the mothers of the bride are very much a part of the process and on this show in particular, many mothers are very vocal when it comes to sharing their thoughts.
Oh my God, I'm shocked. I love it.- Christie
Her mother, Lisa Suozzo, did not share the same feeling as her daughter and shared her thoughts.
"I pick up energies in places, in people, and also in materials.
The dress has an energy about it that takes me to a place I don't like. It was actually tiring for my eyes to look at all this dress was about." said Lisa.
"I actually really like it," Christie said after her mother shared her opinions on the dress.
"Oh, I've said too much," replied Lisa. (Business Insider)
The clip has not been released on their YouTube channel as yet but was aired on TLC on Friday. So perhaps you could check out the ending on DSTV catch up. Whatever the result, we commend the bride for standing up for what she likes and it's a complicated thing, the whole idea of sharing your thoughts. When do you know when you have shared too much?
Read the room? Yes, maybe read the room, mothers of the bride...
