A bride recycles her wedding dress to everyday wear and it looks amazing
Updated | By East Coast Radio
What have you done with your wedding dress? Care to chop it up and make it reusable? Here's an idea...
Many brides hold a sentimental attachment to their wedding attire, whether that is because it reminds them of the special day or because of the amount of money they spent on it.
Some are sentimental and hope that they can make it an heirloom that they can perhaps share with their own daughters or future daughters-in-law. It is sort of a rite of passage for some brides and keeping something vintage could add to their story.
Whatever the reason is, not everyone has the time and space to keep their dresses/outfits. Like this bride that decided to take her dress and recycle it into something that she could wear on a more regular basis.
She had a woodland themed wedding, a wedding that involved lots of posing out in the woods. And a white dress in the wood isn't the most ideal, considering it had a train.

When I first saw it going into the green dye, it looked so dark. I thought 'Oh my god. What am I doing?' But I absolutely love it. It gets so much attention but nobody recognises it from when we got married.- Emma Male

The dress cost her £500 but was worth £2,000. Her thought process behind this redesign is actually quite sensible. Instead of her dress rotting away at the back of her wardrobe, she decided to use it in a creative and functional way.
"Determined to transform it on a budget, Emma enlisted the help of her creative cousin, Katie, to help her revive the dress. After dying it herself, Katie chopped up the dress to give it a modern style, and it took the pair one week to give the dress its makeover." (The US Sun)
Would you ever think of doing something like this to your wedding dress?
