Boss stops workers from leaving office without his consent

That's taking things a bit far if you ask us. After all, work isn't school...
We've heard of micro-managing, and we cannot say that we are fans.
Being an employee to a boss that is constantly demanding the reigns can be tiresome.
One such boss made it on to the social media streets recently and not in a good way.
A post that went viral earlier this month shows a security guard chaining up the doors to an office.
"In it, the guard claims that he had been directed by one ‘Anurag sir’, later identified as a manager with the company, to lock the exit to ensure no one can leave without his express permission." (Oddity Central)
As you can imagine, this did not sit well with many people.
This points to employee exploitation and a degrading work environment, which was a negative for the company, an IT firm called Coding Ninjas in Gurugram, India.

This is definitely not the way you want to get your employees to commit to their duties.
Surprisingly, the company issued a statement. They not only acknowledged the incident, but also called it an "anomaly", which they said was rectified immediately.
