We look at the week that was and we give some love to the top picks from the week...
We look at the top picks from Vic Naidoo from the week.
We started off on a happy note as the week started off with Women's Day. As we celebrate the women all around us, we also took a look at an inspiring story about a family that gifted a tip of R6,000 to the staff at a restaurant in Cape Town.
With all the hardship that many people around the world and in South Africa are going through, it pays to hear happy stories such as these. A family who are frequent guests to a Simply Asia in Cape Town, decided to reward all the staff on duty with a large tip that equated to R6,000.

You know that saying: "Ain't nothing but a chicken wing!" Well, this story brought a new level of greatness to chicken wings. A guy who is seen eating outside a restaurant, gets approached by a robber who is waving his gun around.
However, this guy was so engrossed in his chicken wings that it didn't seem to phase him. We have to encourage that you watch the video yourself instead of just taking our word for it.

As Durbanites, we take our curry very seriously. But it seems that some people who feel strongly about the use of the word to blanket all Indian cuisine are of the opinion that those that use this word incorrectly should stop already.
A food blogger from the US says that the British have been using this term incorrectly and therefore calls for the word to be cancelled. On that note, we think it's the best time to indulge a good curry this weekend, the weather is definitely fitting.

And lastly, we had an outside broadcast for a great cause this week. It was for the SAPS Widows & Orphans Fund Golf Day, which was held at the Mount Edgecombe Country Club.
We got to speak to retired Major General, Marius Janse van Rensburg, who is the head coordinator for the fund and organised the event. If you would like to contribute to this amazing fund then you can also use the following bank details:
Widows and Orphans Fund
ABSA cheque number: 030 000 080
Branch number: 632005
Alternatively you can visit www.wofund.org.za and make a contribution to the fund, which will go towards helping the families of the police officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty.
