It's not the end of the world, there is another journey for you...
There is this long-winded notion that if you do not get a matric pass then you are done for. But it's quite the opposite. As we move into a world filled with 'alternatives', it's more about finding another door rather than staring at the closed one.
So stop stressing about it and find the good in it...
Also, it is not the end of the world, there is always, always another way of looking at things. Remember that.
"There are many other courses one can study that are accredited on NQF level 4. These courses don't give you a matric certificate, but they will give you accredited, recognised alternative qualifications which can be used to study up to NQF level 6." (IOL)
Some of these include,
- Beauty care:
- Various design-orientated computer programmes:
- Photography:
- Courses orientated around child daycare:
Events co-ordination or wedding planning
- Tourism:
- Management:
- Occupational health and safety -
- Secretarial/personal assistant:
You can also use free resources to better your chances of getting a job in the field you prefer. For instance, there are online platforms such as Udemy, Google, and Coursera that offer free online courses in a variation of fields.
Take advantage of this time to figure out what it is you want to do and make a plan to get it done. There is always a silver lining, it's your job to find out what that is for you...
