Since 1994, 5 October has been known as World Teachers' Day. A day that honours all the very important people and organisations that are part of the education system.
If this year has taught us anything, it's this: all jobs are equally important in the world, but not all receive the same amount of recognition and respect that others do.

One of these careers is teaching.
Teaching is known to be one of the most underpaid and thankless careers.

This year saw teachers facing some of their greatest challenges, because they had to adapt to teaching from home.
With virtual classes and no actual interaction with learners, they now have to work even harder to connect to their students.
Parents also quickly realised how exhausting and demanding it is having to educate their children themselves.
Not to mention keeping their attention while also entertaining them.
