Russell Brand Trashes His Life With Katy Perry In A Documentary About Him
Updated | By George Thorne
Russel Brand is about to release a documentary about his colourful life, and I can't wait!
Russell Brand undoubtedly evokes strong emotions in most people. From adoration to disgust, love to hate! Now he has made a documentary about his life.
In the trailer for BRAND: The Second Coming, there’s a part where scenes of him and Katy Perry together play as he says that he’s living the very thing he detests, the “vapid, vacuous, plastic, constructed, mindless celebrity” life.
And KatyKats are not happy! They feel is it an unnecessary and immature attack on his ex. I don't!
Russel Brand is happy to say what many feel, and to touch on uncomfortable truths we are too scared to allow to escape from our lips. He might be somewhat flamboyant and at times overly exuberant, with his explosive comments often feeling more like slogans for T-shirts than deep thoughts, but I think that this is a misreading of Russel and what he offers.
In a world of sanitized political correctness, occupied by a generation of people embracing crass individualism, and rampant consumerism as an expression of self, lobotomized by 24/7 intertainment-internet culture, he just be raising the flag for a new type of economy, and for a redefinition of what defines our interrelationships. A new economy, a new consciousness, perhaps even a revolution.
And Stephen Fry agrees (to a certain extent), but I will take it!
