New footage: Train derails after hitting truck in Pinetown

Police were also on the scene when the collision took place.
Although the incident happened in 2016, new footage of the crash has recently surfaced.

The crash took place in Pinetown after a truck was stuck on the railway and could not be moved.
Everyone on the scene could not get the truck to move and before they knew it, the train was in sight.
There were passengers on the train and 40 people were injured, including the train driver.

Luckily no-one was seriously injured and have all fully recovered.

According to the truck driver, the truck was stationary at the time because the trailer had been caught in some of the powerlines that were overhead.
Police were also on the scene to assist the driver, but there was no warning sent to the train driver, which led to the derailment.
