Husband lands himself in the doghouse with a possible R20,000 fine

The man is being accused of not paying some of his very important bills.

It can be an incredibly sad time, very traumatic, and cause a lot of drama.
And sometimes people have some interesting requests.

One couple, that is currently in the middle of their divorce, is struggling with figuring out who needs to pay some additional costs.
More specifically: the wife claims that her husband has not been supporting Ollie and Sadie, their dogs, financially.

She mentioned that he has not once managed to pay for the R1,500 dog food, and has also, on occasion failed to pay the R1,000 monthly dogwalker bill.

She also added R2,500 for medical costs and R600 for petcare/toiletries, after Ollie was ill and needed medication.
The woman had assumed that her husband would be paying for this.
The husband said he would be willing to pay R1,800 towards the dogs' care, not the R5,600 the wife is claiming.

Additionally, the court ruled she will be receiving a monthly cash payment of R10,000, which is solely for her.
Finally, the court made one remark about the woman following the doggy dispute, saying it seems like she is out to get more than her pound of flesh.
This story will most likely not end with puppy love but hopefully they'll soon let sleeping dogs lie.
