Rob Feakins is the founder of For all Humankind, a project dedicated to bringing to light and documenting the work of nonprofit organisatons around the world.
Rob Feakins has an innate zeal for storytelling. He’s worked as a writer, chief creative officer, and executive director at numerous advertising agencies in the United States of America. But today, Feakins has turned away from the corporate world to apply his skills where they’re needed most. As a filmmaker, he’s focusing on the changemakers of the world.
Feakins founded For All Humankind, a creative project dedicated to documenting the work of non-profit organisations. His expertise includes filmmaking, photography, mini-documentaries, and social media. Through these mediums, he shines a spotlight on programmes that champion human rights, justice, and conservation. Feakins has travelled to locations across the globe, focusing on communities in need and the groups uplifting them. “I get to meet people who are incredibly inspiring,” he says. “People who are going through real-life tragedy and heroic events.”
Capturing breathtaking footage of the noble work done by NPOs, Feakins is helping them establish an online presence and encourage support for their causes. Some of Feakins’ projects include films for the Grumeti Fund in Tanzania, which upskills former poachers, and for Homes for the Brave, who provide support systems for homeless ex-veterans in the USA.
Feakins has won over 20 awards for his projects. Through his initiative, he’s revealing the good that’s happening around the world and inspiring others to be advocates for change. “Find the gratitude in life,” Feakins says. “It will always lead you to compassion.”
