On Wednesday, I chatted about one woman who found herself in a very awkward situation when she got down on one knee to declare her love for her man in a shopping mall. The video starts by showing her dressed to the nines asking the whereabouts of her fiance, when all of a sudden, he comes down the escalator. What happens next surprised many...
She rushed to get down on one knee with a ring box in her hand. Yes, this brave woman popped the big question. However, it was his reaction which has the internet divided. Seeing her on knees, pleading with him to marry her, he instead begs her to get up and goes on to decline her proposal. Obviously humiliated by the situation, the woman is seen sobbing her heart out after being rejected.
Legend has it that 'The Ladies’ Privilege', which was popular in the fifth century during leap years, gives a woman the opportunity to ask a man to wed.
Times are changing though and these days, although many dislike going against the norm, some are challenging society's views and changing the game, which was probably what this woman wanted to achieve. Instead of waiting for her man to pop the question, she took a chance to do it herself, but ended up getting humiliated in the process.
