Woman puts fiancé on blast for tiny engagement ring
Updated | By Thandolwethu
They say that size doesn't matter, but in this woman's case, it apparently does!
Being engaged has to be one of the most special times ever. I have a colleague who almost fainted when her fiancé bent the knee to pop the question, and, of course, I was in the background balling my eyes out for the bridal couple to be.
I have not been in a similar situation before, however, I do know that in that moment, the size of the ring is probably going to be the last thing I'm going to be complaining about. You're going to have to deal with me being a ball of tears when it happens.

One woman has taken to Reddit to share a picture of her engagement ring, which is complete with a small diamond on it.
“We been together for eight years and talking about getting married for almost three. This [is] the ring he said he saved up to buy me. “Am I being shady or materialistic if I tell this mf I don’t want this little a** ring?" she said.
Not sure if this belongs here or not, but is this lady justified in that she doesn’t want the ring? Would you accept it? from r/weddingshaming
Comments on the thread were mixed, with some saying that she is ungrateful, while others questioned why it took so long for him to buy such a tiny ring. The shade of it all!
Here are some of the comments from Reddit users:
"Honestly I feel like he's probably lying about saving up for that ring. Sure he may be super poor, but idk. Just a feeling" - grrliz
"I'd just exchange it for a ring I like. Prefferably [sic] a cheaper stone that you can see with the naked eye." - _Abandon_
"Hell i took my wife (at the time girlfriend) to 3 different ring shops show me what she likes and dislikes so i knew what to get her. Been almost 9 years now and she still wears it. Either she likes it or keeps a good lie she likes it lol" - Rockerknight
"That is the saddest ring I've ever seen. I'm not materialistic person, but it just doesn't even look good. She should talk to him if she's unhappy with it?" - UNLUCKYButKeepGoing
My opinion is that if she truly loved him, then size should not matter. A relationship and future marriage should be formed around the love a couple shares for each other, not the size of ring. So, yes, honey, you're materialistic. Bye!
