Woman holds her heart after life-saving transplant

This lady had just one request after she underwent a life-saving heart transplant - to hold her defective heart.

How many times have we been through relationships and when they end we say that our hearts are 'broken'?
A lady didn't have her heart broken in a relationship as such, but was diagnosed with a dangerous form of heart disease at just 12 years old. When her heart began to fail last year, she was left with no choice but to have a heart transplant.

Before her op she had one unusual request - and that was to hold her broken heart after the operation.
She said that they had been friends for 48 years and after being with it every moment of her life, she wanted to say goodbye to it.
