Wide awake: Actor sets unofficial record for not blinking for over an hour
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Most of us can't even go without blinking for one minute, let alone an hour. An actor has set an unofficial record for his ability to keep his eyes wide open.

Your eyes are one of your most essential body parts, but most of us take our sight for granted. Blinking is a vital function of the eye, as it keeps your globes lubricated - preventing them from drying out.
Since we do it so often and so quickly, we sometimes don't even notice that we're blinking, but if we voluntarily hold ourselves back from doing it, your eyes will be crying for them to close.

Paolo Ballesteros, an actor, comedian, and TV host from the Philippines, has set an unofficial record after not blinking for an incredible one hour, 17 minutes.
He appeared on the TV show 'Eat Bulaga', tried his eyes at the 'No Blinking Challenge, and was a champion. His co-host watered down at 30 minutes and 44 seconds.
Currently, there is a no 'Longest Time Without Blinking' record, so Paolo may be blinking his way into the Guinness World Book of Records soon.
