Watch: Elephant brings daytime traffic to a standstill

Motorists in Thailand were astonished to discover that an elephant was the cause of the chaos on a busy highway.
An enormous elephant has caused havoc after raiding passing trucks on a highway in Thailand to steal bundles of sugar cane.
Since the elephant was so big, no one was brave enough to get near him and try to coax him back into the trees.

Obviously, keen on a little snack, the massive elephant stopped lorries and literally searched their freshly cut and collected hauls until it finally decided to head back to the jungle two hours later. The giant beast stopped more than twelve different vehicles for some delicious treats.
It is reported that the elephants in the area are friendly and never seem to bother anyone. I guess that the big guy was just hungry and wanted to fill his tummy?
