Is virtual group etiquette a thing? Thandolwethu chats WhatsApp groups
Updated | By ECR
Listen to Thandolwethu as she reveals the current dynamics involving her Radio WhatsApp group - and WhatsApp groups in general.
'WhatsApp groups' was the topic of discussion for Thandolwethu on Friday.
Thandolwethu shared a story with us about a WhatsApp group she's currently part of. We all know she's an ECR DJ and she's probably friends with other people in the same field as her.
Some are from ECR and some are from other stations. They all decided to form a KZN Radio WhatsApp Group, where they can share ideas and possibly form working partnerships for future projects. One of the members of this particular group decided to exit without telling anyone - leaving everyone wondering why...
It could be that this member was not finding the group useful or he just did not want to be part of the group anymore, they'll never know. Question is, was he supposed to alert the members that he's leaving the group?
On Friday morning on the show, we asked KZN to let us know: What made them leave a WhatsApp group? Did they alert the members before leaving?
