If you had no option but to lose one of your senses, which one would you choose to lose? That's the question I had to ask myself after looking at this emotionally-charged video.

Let's look at it this way - if you couldn't taste, I guess you could save on buying fancy food because it's not like you're going to taste it anyway - although it would be tough. Hearing and sight have such a huge impact on our lives, and losing touch I think would be a loss of your own personal safety. Smell, maybe?

The one I'd choose to lose though would be taste. As for the hardest to choose, I would think it would definitely be sight. How else would you be able to experience the beauty of nature and the environment? But people with a loss of one of their six senses adapt and learn to live without these things - and life is still manageable for them.

Jekarra Gaines, 24, started losing her hearing in her left ear at the tender age of 15. As she grew older, it became increasingly difficult to hear her beautiful singing voice. However, she didn't allow that to stop her from singing. She just adapted her life to it.

A video of her has been doing the rounds showing the moment she finally got hearing aids from a doctor and it's a moment that she will never forget. It brought a tear to my eye and it's bound to do the same for you.
