Soon you may have to pay to be part of a Facebook group
Updated | By Justin Paul James
Facebook groups were designed to get access to exclusive content and share views in a small community, but soon you may have to cough up to enjoy the benefits of it.
It's no secret that we love spending our time scrolling through Facebook. Apart from the hilarious memes, Facebook gives you the options to take advantage of fun content at your fingertips.
If you're a Facebook user who loves joining smaller communities known as groups, The Verge reports that you might have to soon pay up for 'exclusive membership'.
Although it's still in testing phase, group administrators will soon be able to charge from $4.99 up to $29,99 (about R65 up to R400) a month. Groups about parenting, cooking, and cleaning for the home will kick the new feature off.

The reason? Well, if you are a Facebook group admin, you would know that it takes time to manage a group and ensure that your members abide by your community rules. Charging a subscription will allow the admin to reap the rewards of their hard work. Also, who wouldn't want to be a part of an exclusive group, right?
