Patricia Lewis is an Afrikaans pop sensation with 12 platinum-selling albums.

However, for the last nine years, she has been living in Ballito being a mom and businesswoman away from the limelight.

Lewis burst onto the music scene back in 1992 with her debut album, Don't Tempt Me. It is reported that her song, 'Ek Is Lief Vir Jou' (translated 'I Love You') sold over 125,000 copies. She has featured in many TV shows and created the popular singing competition, Supersterre.

Although she has had massive success over the years and is a South African favourite, she has had a rough road along the way after suffering a few medical setbacks.

I was glad I got the opportunity to talk to her after running into her at the recent KZN Industrial Technology Trade Expo.

We had a sit down about what's been going on in her life, what it's like to live in Durban, her family, and about a TV project that she holds near and dear to her heart.
