Simmy on being turned down at 'Idols SA' and passion for music
Updated | By Thandolwethu
She's young, talented, and is making waves on the music scene. Thandolwethu caught up with Simmy on Monday's show.

Listen to Thandolwethu's chat with Simmy, or read below:
Simmy is a South African neo-soul musician and songwriter.
She is popularly known for her collaborations with Sun-El Musician on smash house tracks such as 'Ubala', 'Sonini', and 'Ntabezikude'.
Her debut album, Tugela Fairy, was released back in October 2018 and she was in Durban this past weekend performing as part of her tour.
She has been writing music since she was in primary school, and that's really where her passion for it all began. She ended up studying Social Sciences, but it was just her ticket to get out of home.
She joined me in studio on Monday to chat about what it's like to audition for shows such as Idols and SA's Got Talent, her passion for music, and, more importantly, to address those dating rumours between her and Sun-El Musician.
