#SideHustle: Amanzimtoti Personal Trainer helps KZN get fit through online fitness programmes
Updated | By Justin Paul James
Amanzimtoti resident Chris Beyleveld submitted his #SideHustle voice note this past week telling us about a solution that he's offering to help get KZN in shape.
December is on the way and most of us are trying everything in our power to get fit and look our best.
However, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and getting to the gym isn't always on top of everyone's priority list. You start a fitness regimen, and a few weeks in, you've lost interest in it completely.
This past week, we heard from another batch of budding hopefuls who shared their side hustle jobs with us. You know, those extra jobs on the side to make money.
One particular story caught our attention and that was Amanzimtoti resident Chris Beyleveld. The 29-year-old is a Personal Trainer at Virgin Active Amazimtoti who specialises in weight loss, muscle gain, as well as pre- and post-natal training.
He has been a personal trainer for more than four years and enjoys getting people looking and feeling their best. He studied a full-time course and received a fitness diploma.

"The reason I got into personal training was to help others not only change their lifestyles, but to assist in their overall fitness goals," he told us.
Fitting into his passion for fitness and healthy living, Chris opened his own side business called 'Personal Training and Lifestyle Coaching'. In addition to running an outdoor boot camp and training clients in the gym either outdoors or at their home, he also offers online training.
He told us that he finds that most of his clients are busy people with busy lives who sometimes can't make it to the gym and don't have a clue on the right things to eat.
Using his expertise, Chris offers an online solution which sees him putting a tailor-made solution together which consists of a meal programme or an exercise programme.
Now before you start thinking that this may cost an arm and a leg, think again. Chris has assured us that his rates for the online course will suit any budget.
"My rates are extremely affordable especially the online training programs which include custom made exercise programs and meal plans."
Just to give you an idea of the cost for the online course:
- A meal plan for four weeks will cost you R500
- An exercise programme for four weeks will cost you R500
- Or you can take both for R800. A saving of R200. Ka-ching!
If you're ready to look and feel your best, get in contact with Chris. He is ready and waiting to get you 'December body ready'.
