School bans teachers from using red pens
Updated | By Zaba
A school in the UK has decided to ban teachers from using
red ink because it’s too mean!

Thinking back to when I was younger, and still in school, red pens were only allowed to be used by teachers.
So much so, when we used to play teaching games over the holidays, we’d take great joy in being the teacher so we could use our red pens.
Teachers at an academy in the UK county of Cornwall will never know the joys of marking with a red pen because the school is banning red ink.
The teachers at the school have been instructed not to use red pens when marking because “it is a very negative colour” the deputy principal, Jennie Hick told the Daily Mail. The new suggested colour for marking is…GREEN!
The teachers have also been encouraged to write two or three positive comments about the work handed in and the children are allowed to respond to their teachers comments in purple.
LMAO! How is a teacher meant to write a positive comment about a 0% mark on a test? Must he/she say “I like your handwriting”?
I know some people believe that certain colours affect our moods and make us feel a certain way, but I think banning the red pen is taking it a little too far.
