Parents who were given the devastating news that their baby girl had a debilitating chromosome abnormality spent 16 days with their dead baby girl, claiming it was an enormous emotional help.
Despite battling against the odds for four weeks, the baby passed away in her parents’ arms, and while the parents stayed at the hospice little Evlyn was at, she was kept in a refrigerated ‘cuddle cot’.
The first-time parents were allowed to take her out for walks, before taking her home for four days before her funeral.
Although it might not be the best option for everyone, it was important to these parents to have that family time and just be able to cuddle their little girl properly.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think having this time with little Evlyn would have helped emotionally?
What about the parents taking the deceased child home? Would it feel right and be nice to have her at home - not just for the parents, but also the thought that Evlyn got to go home too?
