Updated | By Damon Beard
The public has spoken out strongly about this and are rallying support to protect the dog, despite what has happened.
The Staffordshire terrier which mauled its owner and her son to death might not be put down after members of the public launched an online petition to save his life.
According to Times Live, the bodies of a 52-year-old mother and her 27-year-old son were discovered on the floor of their home in the UK. Firefighters stormed in and caught the dog, named Chico.
The petition, which was started by campaigners to stop Chico from being killed, has already received over 2,323 signatures, according to the Petition Germany website.

Chico may not die
The dog may not be murdered for the misconduct of the peoplehttps://t.co/lvtPBqsbcH
The reality is that even dogs that have never been vicious before can strike at any time, but once they’ve attacked once, does this mean they’re more likely to do it again?

Some are saying that Chico should be put down immediately, while others are saying that owners are always to blame for their dog's actions. Yes, it is tragic that this mom and son lost their lives, but does the dog deserve to be put down?
