PE woman will live in a house with snakes for two weeks
Updated | By Zaba
A Port Elizabeth woman has decided to spend two weeks enclosed in a small space with TEN pythons and a boa constrictor as a spiritual reprieve.
I have always maintained that I don’t mind snakes. As long as they won’t kill me, I have no problem with them.
I will not, however, live in a house with snakes like a woman from PE is going to.
This woman from Port Elizabeth will spend two weeks in a small space with ten pythons and a boa constrictor as a spiritual reprieve.
The snakes come from a rehabilitation centre that uses rescued animals as part of youth education.
She says the project will be used to raise awareness about animals.
It is said that there is a huge chance she will get bitten, and although the snakes aren’t venomous, it is %$$^&%#2 to get bitten by one.
The room will have an en-suite bathroom, a bed, and a desk, and members of the public are invited to join her for a cup of tea in the snake room.
I can’t think of what would possess her to do this, and for 2 weeks, nogal.
I’m sure there are other ways to raise awareness about animals, other than living with snakes that could squeeze the life out of you?
As much as I don’t mind snakes, I will not be getting this close to them anytime soon.
Thanks, but no thanks.
