New Netflix series will make you think twice about getting back with your ex

Is it ever a good idea to get back with your ex? I mean, why would you want to take back someone who walked out on you, or start a relationship again that already ran its course? For many people, despite the list of pro’s and con’s, the simple answer is just, “I still love my ex”.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong in trying again. As long as it’s for the right reasons. Many people do it, and it can work. Look at some of our big-name celebrities. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel dated, split up, got back together, and so did Prince William and Kate Middleton, who took a time-out from their relationship.

I think the most important thing when considering if you should get back together or not is to work out why you broke up in the first place. Let me put it on record that feeling lonely or broke aren’t good reasons to get back together.

Talking about exes, I came across a trailer for a new Netflix series called Back With The Ex, which showcases four single individuals who want to try to reunite with their former lovers. The show tests if their love can withstand the test, or if it's just better to pack up and move on. 

The catch - they’re not sure how their ex feels about them. According to Her: "After their reunion, they spend a few days in a neutral city, before spending a week living at each of their homes (which proves to be particularly difficult for some pairs). They end the series with a trip abroad, before the 'ex' in question decides if they want to rekindle things."

The series has four episodes, each an average of 45-minutes long. Good news if you're a South African Netflix subscriber because you can watch it too.
