A University in America has recently published research on what the most annoying text messaging patterns are.

The study shows that 'people view one-word responses with a full stop as less sincere or not as enthusiastic than ones without a full stop'. The research also showed, 'that using emojis, irregular spellings like "soooooo" and irregular punctuation use like "!!!!" also can change the meaning of words'.
