Mixed reaction after woman posts picture of man who groped her
Updated | By Damon Beard
This woman took a stand against sexual assault, but many have said that she should not have posted a picture of her attacker online. Was she wrong to do it or not?
Listen as KZN listeners react to this topic in the podcast then read more below:
Domestic violence and sexual assault claims are something that should never be taken lightly.
In this day and age, we'd like to think we live in a society where men and women are treated equally, but that's sadly not the case.Read: KZN students 'stand with victims of gender-based violence'
This leads to some men believing that they can treat women as they please, which is completely the wrong mindset.
As a result of this, a 32-year-old bartender decided that she’d had enough of guys like this and took a stand.
A guy decided to put his hand up her skirt and at lightning speed, Krystal reacted by throwing him into a headlock to try and remove him from the bar.
The man was shocked when Krystal fought back and instead of accepting his fate, decided to hurt her even more by slamming her against a wall. Thankfully, the bar’s security stepped in and they, with the help of Krystal, overpowered the man before calling the authorities.
What she did next has created a stir on social media. She posted a photograph of the man who assaulted her on her Twitter and recounted her actions, naming and shaming him!
This guy grabbed my ass, I dragged him out in a chokehold, he slammed me into a wall. And is crying like a bitch when he got arrested. pic.twitter.com/rL3qATmL3O

Many women have come out in support of Krystal, but others are saying that posting the picture on social media is taking it one step too far.

I'm a man and i was groped (tap/grab the butt) by woman in few occasions in the clubs. What would have happened if i put them on choke hold?

What this guy did was wrong and his behaviour is nothing short of disgusting, but do you think that it warrants him being named and shamed all over social media for all the world to see?
