Man turns to Twitter for advice on relationship agreement
Updated | By Damon Beard
A man has turned to the Twittersphere to seek advice on a relationship agreement that he's drawing up. Is this type of contract the way to go in a relationship?
Listen as Bheka Ngubane chats about his relationship agreement which made the rounds on Twitter, or read the details under the podcast.
Drawing up a contract when you’re in a relationship could be the best thing you’ve ever done - or a complete disaster.
The contract would ideally address much of what goes on in the relationship, and, for me, I see it as a way to ensure clear communication and prevent one partner from feeling like his or her feelings or needs aren’t being heard or met.

In saying that, a strict set up could also apply too much pressure on the relationship. Ideally, there would need to be a balance of some sort so that both partners feel comfortable.
Bheka Ngubane took to his Twitter account to share a tweet asking users advice regarding a relationship agreement that he's drawing up. With the tweet, he shared two pictures of what the agreement looks like.

"So I decided to draft the ultimate Relationship Agreement contract along with the help of professional editors at work and YOUR help. Before I tackle this beast, is there a section I left out that should be included or we good to go?" his tweet was captioned.

Many users shared their views on what should be added to the agreement.
It needs a Promotion Clause I.e. Conditions under which each party will be upgraded to husband/wife.

The contract lacks particularity. For instance, it just says "finance" It doesn't say who is going to control the purse. Naturally she is going to want to control the damn thing. U better be ready

We've made contact with Bheka and have requested a PDF of the final copy. I will be sharing it with you as soon as we receive it. However, I'm not too sure if it's going to mend or break relationships? Ouch!
How would you feel about drawing up a 'relationship contract', and would you be offended if your partner drafted one? Would you sign it?
