and we can totally see why!
I know Father’s Day was two days ago, but I believe we need to celebrate our parents every single day, and show them we love them as often as we can - because tomorrow is not promised.
On 20 June 2011, Army Pfc. Gustavo Rios-Ordonez was killed in combat while serving in Afghanistan. He was also a father of two girls.
Every year, since the death of their father, Elizabeth and Isabella Rios send balloons to heaven from their home in Eaton, Ohio, with special messages written on them for their late father. The fallen soldier would have turned 30 on the 25th of May 2016.
This year, one of the balloons was found 850 miles away (approximately 1,370km) by Heidi Kern Schwartz in Newton, Massachusetts.
Schwartz posted about her find on Facebook, and eventually Isabella and Elizabeth’s granny saw the post. She told them Daddy had sent the balloon back from heaven to tell the girls that he loves and misses them too.
