If you've been married before, you would know that one of the most stressful things to go through is putting the guestlist together. Obviously, you want all your family and friends to be there, but it comes with a hefty price.
But what happens when you choose to exclude family members because, well, you just don't want them there causing a scene? This is what is currently going on with a KZN bride-to-be who took to our WhatsApp line to share her story.

She candidly confessed that she did not want kids (who are related to her) at her wedding. Naturally, one of her cousins spoke up against this and expressed outrage over the fact that she cannot find a babysitter to take care of her kids, meaning that she would have to miss the wedding.
Although Nompumelelo feels terrible, she said that she could not change her mind. She wants the guests to be able to enjoy themselves without being disturbed by kids wanting their parents to leave her wedding early.

I have a friend who has two kids aged five and eight, and we were invited to the same wedding. She was so furious that it was a 'no kids' wedding that she even considered sending a babysitting invoice to the bride.
I think it’s entirely up to the bridal couple to decide if they want kids there or not. It’s their day. Kids can get out of hand, and it ends up just spoiling the day not only for the bridal couple but also for other guests too.
What do you think? Is it unfair for a bride and groom to ask their guests with kids, mainly family, not to bring their kids to the wedding?
