"The messages of support have been truly overwhelming following this performance," says Thandolwethu.
Grief is really such a strange thing to experience. It's true what they say that 'Time heals all wounds', but the death of Johnny Clegg has left South Africans reeling.
Clegg died at the age of 66 from a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Celebrities, personalities, fans, and loved-ones came out in their numbers to pay tribute to the music legend. The messages that came from them really inspired and moved me to tears.
The moving tribute gone viral
We invited the boys from the Kearsney College Choir to pay a special tribute to Johnny Clegg last Wednesday in studio. They performed a few of his big hits, including 'Asimbonanga'.

Thanks to Facebook live, listeners got to experience the performance first-hand and it seemed to have struck a chord with them. The video has gone viral - literally!
With over 1.2-million views and some 28,000 shares, the video was flooded with comments from many thanking the choir for the tribute, adding that Clegg would have been proud if he were alive to see it.
The energy and emotion from the choir in studio was electrifying - I wish you all had the opportunity to experience it in person. It was truly something.
