Jeweler locks thief in vault after she tried to steal a fortune
Updated | By Damon Beard
Police say the lady tried to snatch a fortune in dazzling gems.
A woman who thought she had her game plan sorted to steal $7-million worth of diamonds was sadly mistaken.
Not only that, but she also found herself locked in a vault with no chance of escaping.

Planning on supposedly making a hefty purchase, she accompanied the jeweler into the vault where she struck a deal to buy some rings.
The crafty thief arrived with all her own material and after wrapping the rings in tissue paper, she tried to do a swap and replace the real rings with fake ones.
The jeweler was too smart though and figured out what was going on. He walked out of the vault, locked her in, and called the police.

Realising that she's in hot water and the jeweler is onto her, she tries everything to change her plan.
Even the idea of sticking the fake package of jewelry up her skirt doesn't work and within minutes she's in the presence of the law.
Just another confirmation that crime doesn't pay!
