Is society becoming too dependent on apps to survive?

There's an app available for almost anything, but as a society, are these apps preventing us from doing basic tasks ourselves?
Thanks to our phones, it's actually super easy to outsource almost anything. Have you ever stopped to guess how many apps there are in the Google Play Store?

Statistics Portal Statista has reported in a survey that there are 2.8 million apps, and according to this survey, smartphone users access approximately 30 apps on a monthly basis.
I mean, there are apps for nearly everything and you have to admit that they do make our lives super convenient. There's an app to jot down your thoughts, one to book a table in your favourite restaurant, and one to even manage your personal finances. We can even get food delivered to us even though most times the restaurant is a mere hop, skip, and jump away. I mean, have you ever considered life with apps?

If you consider something as simple as a calculator, we've drastically reduced the usage of our brains to calculate figures because all smartphones come installed with a calculator. How many times do we use our calculators to do the simplest of equations?
