Free State traffic officer catches up on some sleep while on the job
A video of a traffic officer is making the rounds, showing him taking a nap on the job, and social media users aren't impressed by what they saw.
There's nothing quite like a little afternoon nap, right? Perhaps it's not the best idea to play catch up on some much-needed shut-eye while you’re on duty, though?
Video footage of a Free State traffic officer catching some shut-eye has gone viral on social media, and it’s clear to see that he was in a deep sleep because he didn’t even hear the footsteps of the person with the camera walking around his vehicle taking the video.

The video was posted to @crimeairnetwork on Twitter, and it was captioned: "DO YOU THINK OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS ARE OVERWORKED?" The video has over 24,000 views since it was posted to the platform.
The officer, who was seen sitting in an upright position in his boot, was clearly on duty as there was a speed camera set up right next to him. His partner was a few metres away issuing a ticket to a motorist.

Not only was he napping, but it seems as if the officer's vehicle also had an expired registration disc and license plate.
The year is drawing to an end, and we're all exhausted, but sleeping on the job (especially if you're an officer of the law) is totally unacceptable.
