Elderly woman with 12 fingers and 20 toes is social outcast

Kumar Nayak (63) was born with a rare condition known as polydactyly, which has caused her to become a victim of abuse at the hands of her neighbours.
Unfortunately, she has no money for treatment. Kumar lives in Ganjam, Odisha in India. Because of extra toes and fingers, her neighbours believe she is a witch and abuse her, leaving her to remain indoors for the fear of going outside.
"I was born with this defect and I couldn't be treated as we belonged to a poor family. It has been 63 years I have been in the condition I am today. The residents nearby believe that I am a witch and keep away from me," said Kumar.
According to LADbible, a sympathetic neighbour added: "I know that she has a medical problem and it has nothing to do with what others believe her to be, I feel so sorry for her that she can not even afford to get herself treated."
In a similar story, Ajun was ashamed to even date a girl because he was afraid of being rejected because of his deformity, but his parents didn't want the doctors to remove them because they believed he was 'lucky' and the extra toes were a gift from the heavens.
Ajun spent nine hours in surgery to have his extra toes removed.
