Do you consider shaving your head for charity a good or bad thing?
A 14-year-old received serious backlash from her school for shaving her head shorter than the school code allows.

Niamh Baldwin, a 14-year-old girl, decided to shave her hair during the December school break in aid of other girls suffering from cancer - a decision she said she had been considering for about a year.

Niamh donated her hair to the Little Princess Fund, a fund that produces wigs for children suffering from illnesses.
Ordinarily, the choice would be considered heroic, but in the schooling environment where there are rules in place, it becomes a complicated matter.

On her return to school, she was put into 'isolation' because her hair was one-centimeter shorter than the school's policy would allow.
I think the intention was good, but when you’re at school and there are policies in place when it comes to extreme haircuts - including head shaving, that good intention can become a problem.

The school's policy is very clear and has been published in their behaviour policy for many years.
Was the school justified in putting the teenager into isolation - or should an exception be made considering that she did it for a charitable cause?
