Filters have evolved dramatically since then - and some have taken a turn for the worst. The spider filter has to be one of the most terrifying things ever, especially because it really looks like there's a spider on your face.

One mom decided to play a little prank on her son using the Snapchat spider filter. She turned the phone to show him how he looked and his reaction showed the fear that he experienced after seeing himself. To make matters worse, his mom kept telling him to 'get it off' as he freaks out.
