CCTV catches teen returning wallet filled with cash and cards
Updated | By Damon Beard
For once, CCTV has managed to capture a kind deed which has not gone unnoticed.
I’ve lost my wallet before and I know the panic that goes through your mind when you realise it’s gone. Never mind the actual cash in it, but the bank cards, driver’s license, and whatever else you keep in there that has to be replaced. It’s just the worst feeling ever.
Well, a guy in the USA has been captured on CCTV footage doing an honourable deed. He noticed that there was a wallet full of cash, over $1,500 (that's over R20,000) lying in the driveway of someone’s house. He could have easily walked away with the wallet and claimed the money for himself.

But instead, he rang the doorbell to try and give the wallet back. The wife didn’t want to answer the doorbell because she was too scared and thought it might be an intruder, so instead watches from the security camera installed. And what happens next is amazing...
He actually shows proof of the wallet to the CCTV camera, leaves it on the doorstep, and walks away. When the couple saw what the teen had done, they made it their duty to track him down, thank him, and reward him with some cash. I guess good deeds definitely don't go unnoticed and this proves just that.

What would you have done in this situation? Would you have returned the wallet and done the deed anonymously, or would you have walked away and taken the money?
