Women must wear badges to signal when they're on their period

Female staff at a new shop in Osake, Japan, have been encouraged to don the pins in a bid to tackle the stigma around periods in the country.

Bosses are now "reconsidering" after horrified customers said it was "crazy" and "creepy". The plan was originally bizarrely aimed at "fostering sympathy" among co-workers with other colours of the badges allowing workers to signify if they were irritable, post-period or nearing the time of the month.
