Watch: Great white shark attacks kayaker out at sea
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Insane! This footage looks like it's straight out of a scene from the movie 'Jaws'.

I'm definitely a girl who likes to have her feet firmly on the ground. I once went on a cruise, but that's a story for another day, because it was anything but a cruise...
While browsing my newsfeed, I came across this insane video footage captured by an onlooker. According to New York Post, a kayaker named Brian Correiar was making his way across the ocean when his kayak hit a great white shark. He told the New York Post that he heard a very loud sound and felt something disturbing.

The shark was just inches away from him and managed to sink its teeth into his kayak. Luckily for Brian, he noticed a small sailboat making its way close to him so he managed to signal for assistance. The skipper of the sailboat made a distress call to the Coast Guard of the area who pulled him safely onboard the boat. Thank goodness!

After seeing this video, it makes me even more hell bent on sipping on a Pina Colada from the safety of a deck overlooking the ocean. This must have been such a terrifying experience for him?! It's amazing that he actually survived after being just inches away from a man-eating shark. Eeek!
