The five things you can't live without: What does your list look like?

While many think food and water are necessities in life, KZN listeners think otherwise and have shared with us the five things they simply can't do without.

Let's take a step back for a moment to 1943. I'm sure you may have heard of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. If you haven't as yet, Simply Psychology describes the five-tiered model proposed by Abraham Maslow as "a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within a pyramid."

From the bottom, the needs include physiological, safety, love and belonging, esteem and self-actualisation. It is said that humans need to satisfy the lower end of the pyramid needs before getting to a higher level. 

But over time, these needs have evolved with many saying that the reliance on technology has made it impossible to live without things like the internet and WiFi.

We put the question out to KZN via our Facebook page to find out the five things they couldn't live without, and let's just say that water and food weren't necessarily on their lists.
