If you've had a long year and need some happiness in your life, you may want to head to the box of holiday decorations that you've got stored away.

This weekend we are putting our tree up and I can't wait! Mr T will be scaling the ladder into the rafters in the garage to haul out our faithful green wonder and my beat is retrieving the cardboard boxes plump with all sorts of bits and bobs.
Our decorations range from precious keepsakes like two keys handed down from generations, my mom's hand-stitched Christmas balls, the kid's hand-painted pieces, and then the tinsel, lights, and ribbons. Our star is a combo piece which is an angel passed down by Mr T's gran and she is holding a bright yellow star.
I came across an article this morning which said that a study was conducted and revealed that putting your decorations up earlier makes you happier. It is said to evoke memories of good times and, of course, your childhood. In addition to making you happier, it is said to also help warm your neighbour's heart as he or she will be drawn to the pretty lights and home decorations.
