South Africa's favourite girl next door Mihlali shocks fans on Twitter!
Updated | By Stacey Norman on East Coast Radio
The "homegirl" has the whole of South Africa talking about her sexual experiences when she was younger.
The beautiful award-winning content creator and well known make-up artist has given tweeps something to talk about.
She openly said that she didn't see anything wrong with dating a man between the ages of 20-30 when you're still in high school.
Mihlali has a video detailing dating an older man when she was 17/18 and her first sexual experience. She is currently 23. She has been conditioned to believe this isn’t wrong because she herself was preyed upon but isn’t at a place to recognise it as such.

Twitter went crazy, with most tweets judging her for being interested in dating older men at such a young age.
One tweep went on to say: "Mihlali really said that she sees nothing wrong about a 20-year-old dating a 15-year-old because she dated a 30-o-year-old when she was 18?"
The spicy beaut quickly responded: "Please don’t lie about me, I never said I dated a 30-year-old. I said I did not regret dating someone older than me in high school at the time. I didn't know, the person was asking for your opinion based on personal experience. Doesn’t make it okay tho."
People were clearly touched by what she said or meant as she became the trending topic for the day.

How Mihlali and R Kelly ended up in one tweet is really a WTF moment.

Be careful of extremist positions.. What you are positioning here is a perpetrator and a victim (with some work to unpack what has been internalized) in the same bucket. That is incorrect. https://t.co/iydMCzC7Gi
At 3am you guys took screenshots of Mihlali’s tweet, prosecuted her for statutory rape and closed the case. What time you guys sleep? 😫 pic.twitter.com/dxwA4mKqrR

We can acknowledge that Mihlali is wrong AND at the same time understand that she has been conditioned, as a lot of us were, to view being preyed upon by older men/women as affirming instead of being paedophilic.

Give black women chances to unlearn being taken advantage of.
