This was the case for Marius Geldenhuys and Egan Vorster, who had an extreme case of road rage. Marius maintains that Egan did not keep a safe following distance. When things got heated and racial comments were made, Egan grabbed his camera and filmed a bit of the incident which quickly went viral on social media.
Here's a snippet of what occurred during the incident...
However, the ending to the incident took a bizarre turn when the two decided to meet together and perform a reconciliation ritual by washing each other's feet.

Good Things Guy reported that Marius' church had seen the video and decided that the two needed to come together to bury the hatchet. The foot-washing ritual took place at Marius' office where he apologised for his outburst, as he was going through a very rough time in his life.
Washing a man’s feet is the Christian way of showing humility towards another person. The men washed each others feet and prayed together. Egan wants people to know that forgiveness is key and nobody should live in hate.
This story proves that while behaving badly is never okay, admitting you were wrong and asking for forgiveness is the first step to becoming a better person. You can watch the moving video below.
It just goes to show that it's never too late to forgive and move on. As South Africans, we need to take a lesson from these two individuals who made a mistake, owned up to it, and forgave each other.
Inspiring!
