Sjava on what it's like to win a SAMA

While broadcasting at the East Coast Radio House & Garden Show, Stacey caught up with award-winning recording artist and actor Jabulani Hadebe, better known by his fans as Sjava.

Being in the limelight and headlines is what award-winning artist Sjava has come to get used to.

Born and raised in the small town of Bergville, Sjava comes from humble beginnings and has made himself known in the industry. He has even been recognised by American rapper, Kendrick Lamar. There were even rumours that the pair were going to work together.
After the release of Umphako, Sjava won the Viewers' Choice Award for Best International Act at the 2018 BET Awards. The East Coast Breakfast team called him almost a year ago to date to congratulate him. Listen to that conversation here.
He recently won 'Best Afro-Pop Album' and 'Album of the Year' at the recent 25th SAMAs. Talk about getting the bag!

While in town to attend a few gigs and also to visit his grandmother (bless), he popped by the East Coast Radio House & Garden Show and paid Stacey a visit to talk what it's like to win a SAMA, and the success that surrounds him.
