Thirteen-year-old Olivia Vella has gone viral on social media after presenting a poem to her peers (requested by her teacher) about not living up to certain standards of beauty and what it's like to be mocked for one's intelligence.
Olivia's mother spoke to Today recently, adding that she was not surprised by her daughter's poem, as Olivia often talks to her about the issues she faces at school.
