New trend for women giving birth is not loved by all

A new trend sees mums-to-be coming to the delivery room with tans, a full face of make-up, and hair done!

This concept for me really is sad and highlights the pressure women obviously feel to look a certain way in order to present themselves to the world on social media.

As far as I'm concerned, the baby should be the center of attention, not how bronzed the mom looks with her perfect nails and hair.

So often I see pictures of the new mom and babe in their hospital bed and the mama bear looks like she has been on holiday, all perfectly poised and ready.

Maybe it was just me that looked disheveled and slightly overwhelmed?
